SEEKING SERENITY (in development) 2005
In 2005, a research and filming trip to Thailand was made to develop the story, interview experts, location scout, estimate costs, and working conditions. Certain major elements of the film were shot including production photos.(When funding is secured a start date will be scheduled.)
Thais view the body, mind, and spirit as inseparable and believe the key to health is when all three are in harmony. Traditional Thai medicine is a treasure of ancient knowledge that was almost lost in the late 19th century, when Western medicine was introduced to Thailand, and Thai medicine was withdrawn from the national medical schools’ curriculum. Although elements of the tradition were still practiced by individuals, only recently has it begun to officially emerge again, to revolutionize modern Thai medicine.
